Corrections Policy

Student.org.za is committed to correcting significant factual errors when they are identified.

We recognise that accuracy is important to our readers and that education and opportunity information can directly affect decisions about study, funding and career opportunities.

What We Correct

We may correct errors involving important factual information, including:

  • Names
  • Dates
  • Application deadlines
  • Eligibility requirements
  • Programme details
  • Funding amounts
  • Locations
  • Contact information
  • Statistics
  • Other significant factual claims

How Corrections Are Made

When an error is confirmed, we may update the affected article with the correct information.

For significant corrections, we aim to provide sufficient context so that readers are not left with a misleading impression.

Minor spelling, grammar or formatting changes that do not alter the meaning of an article may be corrected without a formal correction notice.

Updated Articles

When an article receives a substantial update, we may display an updated date to help readers understand that the information has been revised.

The updated information should reflect the latest information available to our editorial team at the time of the update.

Reader Correction Requests

Readers can report potential errors through our Contact Us page.

Where possible, please provide:

  • The article title or URL
  • The information you believe is incorrect
  • The correct information
  • A reliable source supporting the correction

Our editorial team will review the information before making a correction.

Opportunity Changes

Bursaries, learnerships, internships, scholarships and other opportunities may change after publication.

A change by the organisation offering an opportunity is not necessarily an editorial error. When we become aware of an important change, we may update the article or clearly indicate that the information has changed.

Our Commitment

Our goal is to maintain accurate, transparent and useful information for Student.org.za readers.

We appreciate readers who bring potential errors to our attention and help us improve the quality of our coverage.
